The People Democratic Party (PDP), had alleged over-voting in favour of APC in seven polling units in Ovia South West LGA, while giving their imaginary evidence before the Justice Kpochi-led three-member Edo Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
It was like a migraine (uncontrolled severe headache) for the PDP and their candidate when an APC witness finally laid the allegation to rest today, 10-02-2025. The witness educated PDP and his lawyers that the result was not part of the figures that was announced in favor of Senator Monday Okpbebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
It is my counsel to the PDP and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, to note that INEC, nor the Election Tribunal does not listen to opinions but fact. If not a total waste of time, how do you contest units that has been cancelled already? Do we call this cluelessness on the part of PDP or what sort of self consolation is this??
Their antics have become obvious to the general public, and the mandate of His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa has come to stay as we await the tribunal to strike out the dead case for lack of merit.
