The Executive Chairman of the Edo state sports commission, Hon. Amadin Enabulele task players and coaching crew of Bendel Insurance Insurance club to focus on their rescheduled week 20 game against Enyimba FC and put behind their away lost to Shooting Stars of Ibadan.
Enabulele said the players needs to use the loss to propel themselves for better result against Aba based team and former Africa version of champions league winners.
While emphasizing the importance of resilience and professionalism, the Edo state sports boss noted that every match, irrespective of result must be taking as a learning curve.
He told the Insurance team to go all out in their home match against the peoples elephant and repeat the away win handed the former league winners in the first phase of the 2024/2025 Nigerian Football Professional League (NPFL).
He described the 0-1 loss to Shooting Stars at Ibadan as unfortunate.
“Though I was confident that we would secure at least a point in Ibadan, we must now focus on the upcoming game. Let’s recover from this setback with a strong home victory over Enyimba,” he stated.
Enabulele said everything necessary support will be given the team to achieve victory in their matches against Enyimba on Wednesday and that of away game against Niger Tornadoes on Saturday.
According to him, “Bendel Insurance currently sits 16th on the league table with 25 points after 22 matches.
“The aim is to improve on our current position with a crucial results against Enyimba and Tornadoes.”
