Cross River Government has ordered dethronement and decertification of clan head of Oyadama, Obol Ayomobi and clan head of Oyadama, Obama Erena in Obubra Local Government Area of the State.
This was announced in a press press release signed by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ben Ayade, Mr Linus Obogo and made available to newsmen in Calabar on Tuesday.
According to the release, the dethronement and decertification is with immediate effect.
Both Nko and Oyadama communities have been at war torn over a piece of land.
The release stated that the dethronement of the two clan heads and all other traditional rulers in the two warring communities are as a result of the intractable communal clashes.
According to the release, the ownership of the disputed land has been revoked and taken over by the state government for overriding public interest.
Similarly, government has ordered the sustenance of army operation in Nko community until those behind the shooting of the six military personnel are fished out.
It would be recalled that an army captain was on Sunday killed in the warring communities.
