A financial institution, First Royal Micro Finance Bank, has stressed on the need to have healthier customers through partnership with a fitness group, City Walker based in Calabar.
Mr Briggs Idaerefaa, Secretary of the Bank, disclosed this during a meeting with the head of the fitness group, Mr Lloyd Ndoma in Calabar on Tuesday.
Idaerefaa said the need to partner with the group was borne out of the fact that a healthier customers would guarantee sustainability of their business.
He said that the bank would be carrying out the partnership as part of the financial institution’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
According to him, “I am actually impressed with the good work the group have been doing in the area of ensuring fitness of the people and like they say, health is wealth.
“From this angle, the bank will be better of when it’s customers are healthy; we will worry less on customer’s healthy especially when granting facility even if it is covered by insurance.
“For me, it is going to be a win-win situation for us as a fiancial institution and the fitness group.
“We want to be able to ensure good health of the people in our working environment.”
Ndoma said the partnership is a welcome development for the group as many people do not understand the fact that it cost a lot to keep fit.
