Edo Sports Chief Enabulele Bags SWAN Diamond Jubilee Award [PHOTOS]

The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has been honoured with the prestigious Diamond Jubilee National Award by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Edo State Chapter.

The award, presented at a colourful ceremony in Benin City, celebrates Enabulele’s outstanding contributions to sports development and his role in positioning Edo State as a powerhouse in Nigerian athletics.

In his address, SWAN Chapter Chairman, Comrade Kehinde Osagiede, lauded Enabulele’s relentless drive in establishing sustainable sporting structures that continue to yield champions and inspire youth participation across the country.

Receiving the honour, Enabulele dedicated the award to Governor Monday Okpebholo, commending the Governor’s vision and investment in sports as the cornerstone of Edo’s recent successes. He further extended appreciation to the Commission’s management, staff, coaches, and athletes, describing the recognition as a “victory for teamwork and shared commitment.”

Also in attendance was the Executive Director of Sports Development and Operations, Mrs. Sabina Chikere, alongside other dignitaries and sports enthusiasts who gathered to celebrate the milestone.

Instituted to mark SWAN’s 60th anniversary, the Diamond Jubilee National Award recognises individuals whose leadership and innovation have significantly advanced sports across Nigeria.

With this latest recognition, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele adds yet another feather to Edo State’s cap, affirming the state’s growing reputation as a beacon of sporting excellence in the nation.
