A frontline Governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has promised to entrench Local Government autonomy in the state when voted into office.
Idahosa, who made this promise when his campaign team belted at Orinomwon and Uhunmwonde council areas where he met with APC leaders and members, said granting autonomy to the councils would engender grassroots development in the state.
According to Idahosa, “Granting autonomy to the third tier of government in our state will bring government closer to the rural dwellers and thus impact positively in their living standard.
“This is one of the things we hope to entrench in the council areas so as to spread development across the nook and cranny of our dear state.”
He further said his commitment to bettering the lives of the people of Edo state with his development agenda was designed to bring relief to the people.
He assured that the party will have no problem winning the poll if he is given the ticket.
