The governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has narrated how the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, allegedly locked him up when he visited Anambra state in 2013.
While speaking to journalists during the interactive session between the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and the Arewa Joint Committee in Kaduna, El-Rufai revealed that in 2013 he visited Anambra state as a representative of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a by election. He alleged that Obi, who was the governor of Anambra state at that time, arrested him in his hotel room for 48 hours.
Furthermore, El-Rufai said that today he is the governor of Kaduna state and Peter Obi is visiting his state. He stated that he has security operatives that can arrest whomever he wants to arrest, but due to the civilized nature of northerners, they don’t act like that.
See Video below;
Governor @elrufai will never forget how Peter Obi arrested and detained him in Anambra.
Listen to him recalling the incident however he concluded that despite PO is in Kaduna today he Elrufai is too civilized to pay him in his own coins. pic.twitter.com/3Dwk8A0jV5
