Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers State and Okezie Ikpeazu, his Abia State counterpart, have traveled to Turkey on vacation.
Wike who lost the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, had been busy receiving notable opposition figures, including NNPP presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Labour Party candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
This had prompted speculations about his political future.
But apparently seeking to take a break from politics, the Rivers State governor is currently in Turkey with Ikpeazu.
He disclosed the development in a post via his twitter account, @GovWike
“Finally enjoying a much needed vacation in Turkey with my brother, Governor Ikpeazu,” he wrote.
