A Coalition of political and religious pressure groups under the aegis of College of Bishops, Council of Bishops and Imams, and Leaders Alliance Network have unanimously endorsed Senator Rochas Okorocha as the rightful successor to outgoing President Mohammadu Buhari.
Addressing journalists in Abuja the group led by Archbishop Dr Joe Wealth and Leaders Alliance Network convener Dr Paul John Paul said their choice of Rochas Okorocha for the Job of the President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria is premised on his “proven track records as a unifier and person with a compassionate heart for the downtrodden”.
The group have therefore urged President Buhari to give Nigerians the former governor of Imo State as a parting gift and custodian of the legacy of the present administration.
According to the religious pressure groups “is an epitome of equity, peace, justice and fair play” adding that as Igbo man the Zoning arrangement based on equity and justice, would naturally favour Owelle Rochas Okorocha as the race for 2023 hots up.
They maintained that Okorocha intervention in education, philanthropy and other areas of national life puts him in good stead to address the current wide range of agitations bordering on insecurity, lack of proper planning and economic management of our endowed rich natural and human resources, the high rate of unemployment among the youths.
“We are convinced Rochas will hit the ground running by finding lasting and sustainable answers to unending questions on our unity by ensuring a country where equity, justice and fairness prevail,” they stated.
