VIDEO: I will defeat Obaseki’s preferred candidate, Win Edo 2024 PDP Ticket, Philip Shaibu Boasts

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu has boasted of defeating Governor Obaseki’s preferred aspirant to win Edo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket.

Shaibu made this statement in an interview on TVC.

He said ” Party politics is completely different from governance. Party politics is played by politicians that understand politics and the politicians themselves understand those that can protect their interest.

“In the entire process in all the political parties even in my party, how come I am the only one that even for declaration, they are blocking me from declaring? I’m the only person that is in the news for being asked not to contest. I am the only one that my office was relocated because I want to declare to contest. I’m the only one that close to five months, no allocation to my office, just because I declared.

“When I said I was pressed but not destroyed, I understand the kind of intimidation and harassment that I’ve gone through. But the truth is that, all these things that are happening points to the fact that I am the candidate to beat.”
