The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of its planned reception for the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, originally slated for Wednesday, November 19. The party said a new date will be communicated in due course.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, the decision was taken in honor of members of the armed forces and civilians recently killed in terrorist attacks, as well as in solidarity with victims of the shocking abduction of students in Kebbi State.
The party praised the “courage and sacrifices” of Nigeria’s military personnel, acknowledging their role in defending the nation’s freedom and security.
“As we mourn the death of our dear compatriots, we pray for the safe return of our innocent students taken from their families by forces of evil,” the statement read.
The APC extended heartfelt condolences to families affected by the recent tragedies and reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to eliminate insurgency and banditry and ensure perpetrators face justice.
