The Edo State Government has announced the approval of a new Governing Council for the Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and promote excellence in the state’s tertiary education sector.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, the approval was granted by His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State.
The newly appointed Governing Council members are:
- Hon. Samuel Oboh – Chairman
- Dr. Abdul Wasiu Oyakhire – Member
- Isibor Philips Isa Oseremen – Member
- Igbinadolor Patience Osamede – Member
- Louis Amienwan Okojie – Member
- Dr. Anthony Oyase Atogwe – Member
Governor Okpebholo emphasized that the appointments reflect his administration’s dedication to strengthening governance structures in tertiary institutions, enhancing academic performance, and advancing the SHINE Agenda in the education sector.
The new Council is expected to leverage its collective experience and expertise to reposition Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, as a hub of innovation, technical growth, and skill development for the benefit of the State and beyond.
