The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ovia South West Local Government Area (LGA) of Edo on Monday inaugurated its campaign council for the 2024 Gubernatorial Election, with a call on stakeholders and members to synergize to guarantee a landslide victory for the party in the area.
The council, which was inaugurated by the council’s campaign Director General, Rt. Hon. Sunday Aghedo, has Hon. Emmanuel Ogbomo as Chairman and head of the council’s Advisory Committee.
Aghedo named the former chairman of local government, Hon. Monday Aighobahi, as Secretary of the campaign council.
He said that the council’s mandate was to deliver Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa in the governorship poll and charged all party faithful to support the team to achieve results.
“Let me congratulate you for being selected to lead this onerous task. You were not chosen by accident, you were selected because of your track records of excellent service to the party.
“This election is important to us because our brother, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, is on the ballot as Deputy Governorship candidate of our great party,” he stated.
