“Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.” – Psalm 146:3
Does Godwin truly want his alleged candidates to win, or is he going to abandon him like he does everyone else who crosses his path, especially those who assist him?
One thing Asue Ighodalo (AI) needs to understand is that only God truly helps; man can only offer assistance but cannot provide true help. The sooner they grasp this concept, the better. I love the saying, “No man is God,” or as we often say, “Thank God, man is not God.” I learned early in life that even the person you turn to for help may need assistance themselves. Therefore, it’s crucial to focus on God for victory, not Godwin.
With the current events in PDP, it seems as though AI was set up, as most of Godwin’s actions are causing more harm than good. The team he has entrusted to AI seems oblivious to the state’s affairs or the happenings throughout Godwin’s administration. It may be because they don’t care, as many of them live a vain lifestyle, or they may simply be inherently wicked. Some attribute it to them not being from the state, but the honest truth is that if they had a conscience, their actions would reflect it. By their fruits, you shall know them, but their fruits are all rotten.
If AI wants to succeed, he must take control of his own destiny and run his own race. Typically, conflicts arise with successors after some years, but this time, they might arise even before AI assumes office, hindering their path to victory. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke.
It’s disheartening to see someone so filled with sadness and anger (GODWIN). Whoever caused this to you, God will not forgive them, as your actions are excessively extreme, and you show no concern for the damage inflicted on others, whether friends or family.
Even those around you are sycophants, and the day you pass the baton, if you haven’t gone on vacation by then, the new deputy will bear the burden alone. You will come to understand the true meaning of “no man is an island.” Loyalty means nothing to you, and you’ve instilled the same belief in some youths in the state. Hopefully, the next governor will be able to correct this narrative.
Looking at the past eight years in the state, they say you’ve done well. Yes, you laid good foundations, but you employed the wrong builders and contractors. Most of the fights and issues you encountered were unnecessary. “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” – Abraham Lincoln.
Obviously, you didn’t come to sell ice cream, so not everyone must like you, but your pettiness has been excessive.
They say power amplifies the true you, and your actions have shown that the warnings about you weren’t far from the truth. I cannot advise AI to distance himself from you, as it’s sad that there’s a slight resemblance between both individuals, and they even sound alike. AI is now suffering for sins he did not commit, and before September, there will be more to come, as for you, it’s your default setting — A man who finds joy in wickedness.
My sincere advice to AI is to restrategize if he truly wants a chance in the 2024 election because their problem isn’t the legacy of PDP, APC, or Labour, but their so-called Godfather. You need GOD to win, not GODWIN.
