Edo Guber: Defection hits PDP, NNPP, LP in Ikhueniro, Umagbae-North of Uhunmwode LGA

The bandwagon effect that has seen members of various political parties moving into the APC in the majority bid to install a truly homegrown government has found expression in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State as scores of PDP, NNPP, and LP members in Ikhueniro of Umagbae North Ward denounce their membership to pitch tent with the All Progressives Congress.

Leaders of the defectors including Amb. Osagiator Adams, Mr. Courage Edosomwan, Chief Hillary Oche, and their followers numbering over a hundred said they decided to join the APC as a way of contributing their influence and force of voter mobilization in support of the MODEN ticket that promises grassroots development and a rescue of the state from portfolio politicians in Lagos.

Receiving the defectors, the Chairman of the party in the LGA Hon. Osayemwenre Osawe in the company of Hon. Austine Imafidon, Hon. Erhinmwinose, Hon. Moses Igbinoba, Hon. Ighodaro, Hon. Clifford, Hon. David Omoregie, Hon. Idele amongst others, praised the timely decision of the opposition party members to join the APC and the promising future that Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa’s ticket represents, assuring them of equal treatment.

Meanwhile, the Edo State House of Assembly Candidate for the 2023 general elections in Uhunmwode Constituency and Managing Director of ISIWINÁ, an electrical and renewable energy marketplace Hon. Austine Imafidon has donated a branded Sienna and a thousand pieces of branded face caps to the Okpebholo/Idahosa campaign team in Uhunmwode to aide travels.

The LGA Chairman Hon. Osayemwenre Osawe while receiving the Sienna vehicle on the sideline of the defection ceremony described Imafidon as a major financial warchest of the APC in Uhunmwode who has continued to lubricate the leadership of the Local Government ably led by Engr. Osazee Imasogie.

He appreciated Imafidon for always giving to the party and supporting members at all times as he encouraged him to continue the good work in ensuring that the entire local government is delivered for the APC in 2024.
