Towards the build up to Edo State governorship election billed for September this year, a coalition of non-indigenes resident in Ovia south west local government area of the state has pledged their total support for Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
The endorsement came during a meeting of the group with the Deputy Governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on Monday at Iguobazuwa, where the non-indigenes endorsed the All Progressives Congress Flag bearer and his Deputy as their candidates for the upcoming gubernatorial election.
The chairman of chairman Non Indigene in Ovia south west, Godday Nwaeboh said the deputy governorship candidate who hails from the local government have been of great support to the group even before he ventured into politics.
He said “Dennis Idahosa was part of how we formed this group, ever since he has been our support and patron. Since he emerged as member of the House of Representatives, he has differentiates himself from his predecessors and we know that when he becomes the deputy governor of the state with his principal, more development we come to our communities”
Idahosa while speaking earlier outlined his achievements as member representing Ovia federal constituency while promising to be their voice when elected as Deputy Governor of the state come September 21, 2024.
