Apparently disturbed by the frequency of defections that have hit it and more expected, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called an emergency leadership meeting to discuss the trend and the implications it will have on the coming governorship elections
Sources close to the party informed Infopowerng that the leadership of the party is worried by the gale of defections, especially the massive defection that happened in Uromi where political gladiators like Felix Akhabue, Frank Okiye and others moved with thousands of their supporters, almost emptied the party in Edo central senatorial district.
Source have it that more defections out of PDP is expected in Edo south senatorial district.
The source who choose to be anonymous said; “As I speak to you the leadership of PDP has called for an emergency meeting
“The defection in Uromi today really hit them hard and our candidate is very worried
“He’s even aware that most people acting like they are with him are really not, because of the governor high-handedness.”
