The next governor of Edo State will not be determined based on who speaks the best English because Obaseki’s Queen’s English didn’t make Edo better for the last seven years he has been governor except for his award as the most brutal, vicious, vindictive, petty, ungrateful and treacherous governor Edo State has ever produced.
The next governor in my view will be determined based on someone who has empathy and understands the Edo people and our challenges. Someone who is humble and has the strong will to get things done without undue political grandstanding.
The people of Edo State are looking for a leader who truly understands their needs and is committed to improving their lives. They want someone who is not just a smooth talker, but someone who has a track record of taking action and making positive changes in their community.
It’s time for a leader who is focused on delivering results and creating real opportunities for the people of Edo State. The next governor must be willing to roll up their sleeves and work tirelessly to address the pressing issues facing the state, such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and job creation.
Ultimately, the next governor of Edo State will be chosen based on their ability to connect with the people, understand their struggles, and work towards a brighter future for all. It’s not about eloquent speeches but about genuine care and determination to make a difference.
I was thrilled at the way the candidate of the APC, Senator Monday Okpebholo, otherwise known as Akpakomiza stormed the Presidential villa with some leaders of APC to demand the immediate fixing of the Benin- Ekpoma-Auchi r road and he got the approval same day and money was released for it immediately. You don’t need to know how to use Queen English to be an action leader who knows what his people need and how to get it.
Going by the experience with Obaseki as a governor, it is better to have a governor like Monday Okpebholo who does not speak Queens English but understands the problems of the Edo people and is willing to tackle them without too much talk.
I RISE!

Its only a MEDIOCRE that will support a candidate that doesn’t know the difference between Narrative and Narration, sinking boreholes and creating boreholes, keeping words in the mind and keeping it in the chest in this 21st century. ASUELINMEN IGHODALO can’t be compared to Monday OKPEBHOLO in any angle. EDO STATE is lucky to have ASUELINMEN IGHODALO, A LEGAL LUMINARY AND AN ECONOMIC SCHOLAR WITH A POWERFUL ECONOMIC KNOWLEDGE.
