In a turn of events on Saturday, the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos sacked Minority Whip Senator Darlington Nwokocha.
Nwokocha, Infopowerng learned, represents Abia Central in the red chamber of the National Assembly on the platform of the Labour Party (LP),
Appeal Court declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Col Austin Akobundu (retd), as the duly elected senator in the February 25 polls.
The court, in its ruling, upturned the ruling of the National Assembly election petition tribunal, which earlier upheld Nwokocha’s victory.
