“A Round Peg In A Round Hole”, Group Applauds Tinubu Over Appointment Of Olawande As Youth Minister Designate

The Progressive Forum (TPF), formerly known as the All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF), South-South zone have applauded President Bola Tinubu on the appointment of Ayodele Olawande as Minister for state-designate of youths affairs.

The statement signed by the acting Cordinator of the zone, Stella Coker and sent to Infopowerng reads below;

“We, the South-South Zonal Chapter of The Progressives Forum (TPF), formally known as All Progressive Youth Forum (APYF), on behalf of the teeming progressive youths of the Niger Delta region express our profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for finding it worthy to appoint one of our own, Mr. Ayodele Olawande as Minister for state-designate of youths affairs.”

“For a young man who has been at the fore front for youths advancement, even at his capacities both as former Cordinator of The Progressives Forum (TPF) and Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State chapter, he can best be describe as a round peg in a round hole.”

“While thanking Mr. President for this honour, we also like to warmly congratulate our brand new Minister-designate. We are very much optimistic that with his proven leadership ability, Mr. Ayodele Olawande will bring his experience to bear in serving the good people of Nigeria, especially the youths.”

Infopowerng reports that President Tinubu recently nominated Dr. Jamila Ibrahim to serve as the Minister of Youth and Mr. Ayodele Olawande to serve as the Minister of State for Youth, pending their confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
