The Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress, Okpekpe Ward 10, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo has suspended its chairman, Mr. John Imafidon, Hon. Mudashiru Shaka, Hon. Charles Akpeji and Sanusi Mekidi over abuse of office and mismanagement of party funds during the state house of assembly election campaign.
The suspension was contained in a notice signed by 17 ward excos and addressed to the state chairman of the party, Col David Imuse, Ward Leader, Hon Edward Imhanobe, Ward Elders forum and member Board Of Trustee (BOT) of the party, Prince Malik Afegbua.
Their suspension takes effect from may 17, 2023.
The executive members passed a vote of no confidence in Imafido over his inability to move the party forward.
