All Progressives Congress (APC) in Uhunmwode local government area of Edo state has suspended a former Rep member, Samson Osagie and 11 others from the party.
Infopowerng gathered that they were were suspended for anti-party activities, factionalization, absenteeism from party meetings and internal sabotage in the just concluded general election.
Others suspended includes; Hon. Roland Alari, Bar. Felix Alari, Mr. Simon Uduogie, Mrs. Esohe Idemudia, Mr. Monday Guobadia, Mr. Nelson Gomez Ise., Mr. Festus Iyekeoretin, Hon. Jolly Iyekeoretin, Mr. Evans Ozabor and Mr. William Amadi
Their suspension was contained in a letter signed by the entire executive of the LGA under the chairmanship of Hon. Osawe Osayemwenre
Meanwhile, the former lawmaker has described his suspension as “Laughable.”
He said: “I’m a party man and will not do anything to undermine the progress of my party. The mastermind of this suspension is someone who claims to be a leader of the party at the local government level but based in Atlanta.
“The mastermind of this nonsense has resigned from the party a day before the Assembly elections thereby sabotaging the party, yet turn around to accuse me of anti party.”
Osagie blamed the losses of the party to the candidates and this particular leader who choose to draw out plans that pleases them without the input of leaders of the party.
The letter conveying their suspension is reproduced here under:
