The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Uhunmwode Constituency Mr. Austine Imafidon has reiterated his commitment to job creation through skills development and partnerships despite losing the House of Assembly contest.
While appreciating Uhunmwode people who turned up for him at the various units across the constituency, particularly communities where he recorded victories, Imafidon announced that he will not deviate from his dream for Uhunmwode because of the temporary setback.
He said, “elections are like every other game with so many intricacies resulting in either a win or a loss at every contest, but when your dreams for the people are genuine and backed by faith, nothing can ever break you until you see them come through.”
He continued that he had campaigned on the ISIWINA mantra for skills development towards 200 jobs creation, and losing the election will not stop him from creating 100 within the next 4 years as the ISIWINA project is a burning desire to do God’s will.
Imafidon appreciated Uhunmwode APC leaders, executives, campaign team, mobilizers, family, friends, and the media for doing a fantastic job, though not resulted in victory yet, but has surely pushed the discussion to another level.
He promised to make his position on the election known at a later date as the party commenced an investigation into what went wrong that resulted in the unfortunate outcome.
