Arewa youths advisory forum has called on the federal government of Nigeria to place a ban on Big brother naija, a reality television show that has been trending online recently.
The call for the ban on Big brother naija was made by Arewa youths advisory forum’s national president, Yerima Shettima. The groups national president made this known while speaking to newsmen today, describing the reality show as a calamity. Shettima said that the government of this great country shouldn’t have allowed such a show to be aired on television because it promotes immorality and contains sexual content.
Yerima said the show is a calamity and he does not believe in the show, he said Bbnaija portrays immorality and should not be encouraged. Shettima said a lot of people watch Bbnaija because of the immorality they show and how the housemates flaunt their nudity making it look like blue film.
Yerima then called on true lovers of this great country to join hands with him to draw the attention of government to the numerous implication of Big brother naija show, which should not be encouraged at all.
Big brother naija reality show is arguably one of the biggest reality shows in Africa, with a very vast viewing audience in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. There are 22 housemates on the show competing for the prize of N90 million. The sixth edition of the show currently airing is tagged “Shine ya eyes”.
