In a move aimed at strengthening governance and deepening administrative efficiency, the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a fresh wave of appointments into key positions across the state government.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., the appointments take effect from October 27, 2025.
Among the new appointees is Hon. Orobosa Omo-Ojo, JP, who has been named General Manager of the Bendel Newspaper Corporation.
The Governor also appointed the following individuals as Special Advisers:
• Hon. John Osagie Inegbedion – Tax Reforms
• Johnson Jibril Adamu – Humanitarian Affairs & Poverty Alleviation
• Shuaibu Elamah – Law Reforms
• Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Imafidor – Livestock, Aquaculture & Agro-Processing
• Omorede O. E. Osifo – Women Mobilization
• Esther O. Eghaghe – Women Mobilization (Edo Central)
• Vera Omonkhafe Sadoh – Women Mobilization (Edo North)
• Mrs. Itohan Osahon – Women Mobilization (Edo South)
• Anslem Adima – Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs
The statement emphasized that the new appointments reflect Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to inclusive governance and equitable regional representation.
