Some hoodlums suspected to be members of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s Edo Vigilante Group have been seen in a viral video assaulted a shop owner at Upper mission extension area of Benin City.
According to eye witness, the vigilante group stopped a delivery bike man from passing “One way” and a man from the opposite shop ran to the scene to challenge them (Vigilantes) for not stopping other vehicles, insisting they were just trying to oppress the bike man. Subsequently, altercation ensued and thereafter, the man went back to his shop.
The vigilantes who felt insulted by the man’s audacity, went to regroup, returned back to the shop and asked the young man to follow them to their base.
The boss of the said young man appealed to them to be patient noting that the young man is helping a nursing woman carry her baby.
The vigilante then resulted to use of force which angered the owner of the shop and decided to walk them out saying “my customers are around, stop shouting here.”
The vigilante group turned to the shop owner and pounced on him as seen in the video below;
