Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the redeployment of the Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), Mr. Suleiman Aladeh, to the Edo State Orientation Agency as its pioneer Director-General.
The appointment takes immediate effect, according to a government statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
To ensure uninterrupted operations at the state-owned broadcast station, the governor also approved the appointment of Mr. Festus Alenkhe as Acting Managing Director of EBS, pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.
The state government said the move is part of ongoing administrative reforms aimed at enhancing resource management and strengthening institutional effectiveness across key sectors of government.
According to the statement, Aladeh’s redeployment reflects the administration’s confidence in his professional competence and ability to drive the mandate of the Edo State Orientation Agency, which plays a pivotal role in civic engagement, public enlightenment, values promotion, and strategic communication.
The government commended Aladeh for his service and contributions to the growth and development of EBS during his tenure, noting that he demonstrated a strong commitment to public service broadcasting and institutional advancement.
