The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State has announced that fifty students taken from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools in Papiri, Agwara LGA, have successfully escaped from their captors.
In a statement on Sunday , Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, Chairman of CAN in Niger State and Catholic Bishop of the Kontagora Diocese, confirmed that the children regained their freedom between Friday and Saturday. He added that the pupils “quietly reunited with their families,” bringing relief to anxious parents and the local community.
