The Executive Chairman of Oredo Government Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki, on Thursday 11th, January, 2024, signed Oredo’s 2024 budget into Law which amounted to about N12.5B.
According to the Council Boss, about 70% of the 2024 budget will focus on capital projects that will have impact on people’s life, unlike in the past where a huge percentage was focused on recurrent expenditure, leading to lack of development. He assured that this budget will be effectively and efficiently utilized to reposition Oredo”.
Dr. Tom Obaseki assured further that the budget will lead to the transformation of Oredo Government Area and will transform to excellent delivery of governance and services to Oredo People in areas of human capital development and infrastructural development in Oredo Government Area.
Dr. Tom Obaseki appreciated and commended the legislative arm of the Council for quick passage of the law notice that it was done in line with global best practices.
