In a world where music transcends boundaries and serves as a universal language of emotion, the story of Daniel Jatto popularly known as Ace Word, a Swedish Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter, is a testimonial to the healing power of music in the face of adversity.
Born on October 30, 1989, in Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria, Ace Word’s early life was marked by a profound connection to music. As the last child in a family of 11 children, his journey into the world of music began at the age of 11 when he joined a choir group at the Baptist Church in Medical Store Road, Benin City. It was here that he discovered the joy of making music with friends, using church instruments as the tools of their creativity. These formative experiences sowed the seeds of his musical passion.
However, it was during a period of personal turmoil that Ace Word found solace and inspiration in music. He shared, “I got inspired whenever I hear good music, and music is something spiritual to me. When I lost my mom, the only thing that could ease my mind was music, and that’s how I fully embraced music and decided to go into music professionally.”
The loss of his mother was a deeply emotional experience, and for Ace Word, music became a source of comfort and a medium through which he could express his emotions and feelings. This pivotal moment in his life spurred him to make the life-altering decision to pursue music professionally.
With approximately four years in the music industry, Ace Word has made a distinctive mark with his unique style of music. His artistry transcends boundaries, encompassing a fusion of Afrobeat, Afro R&B, Afro pop, and Afro fusion. This eclectic mix draws from the infectious rhythms, melodies, and instrumentation of traditional African music while infusing contemporary elements.
Currently under his own management, MacDMusicWorld, Ace Word is poised to continue making waves in the music industry, captivating audiences with his unique sound and heartfelt melodies. His story is not just one of musical passion; it’s a story of resilience and strength in the face of loss, and the incredible power of music to heal and inspire.
