Edo 2024: From Demystifying the So Called Technocrats and Protecting our Oba

Edo State has turned into theatre of the absurd Or you have to do act in the absurd drama going on is to go abroad or go online to get a degree and Gbam!You are tagged a Technocrat and you become a super indigene , who had special status reserved for you in the inner recesses of Government.

Whether it is the Kindergarten Teacher that bamboozle with technology , or the young man who holds sway in the inner recesses of the corridor of power , Edo’s Technocrats are of a different brand .

Branded by technology and pushed by the ignorance of some citizens who can not engage these charlatans cascading charades in the reins of power .

The Governorship Elections are here again and they have lined up a long list of “technocrats”. They are of the same political family , but have shared themselves into all the major parties.These are the Edo No be Lagos Gang .

There appears to be a plan to run Edo State like a captured territory. This because there are signs those Lagos people have positioned themselves to take over from another Lagos Boy .This is something Edo’s in Edo should be conscious of . Government every way does patronage in terms of programmes and contracts .Under the current dispensation Edo’s living in Edo have been grossly marginalised.The false narrative is that Edo Money is not for greedy politicians .The Question is , is it now for greedy business men , that are not of Edo Extraction?

Failed Attempt to Desecrate the Throne of the Oba of Benin

The Oba of Benin is the Overload in the Benin Kingdom.There is the timeless and time honoured Aphorism that Auguobasimwin-(You do not contend with the Oba) .Those who want foist expatriate Edo’s on us are also the one wanting to disrespect the Oba of Benin .Reason being that they are not home bred , so they do not understand our culture.The next election there fore is one that meant to protect our Oba from the invaders .What is happening now in Edo State as it concerns our Oba had not happened since the Benin Massacre of 1897.Sadly , history appear to be repeating itself and one name is tied to the two incidents .

Our Oba is reverred. Benins should therefore be ready to stamp out these invaders who have come like the British led by Captain Phillips. We must protect our throne and we must send them to Lagos , where they truly belong.

As a Benin man and a true son of Igodomigodo, I cry from the hills of Ikpoba to the slopes of Ekenwan and from the forests of Okomu to the River of Ogba, and the seven entries and exits into Benin to say, “We, Benins Must Protect the Benin Kingdom”.
