In a new twist to the controversy trailing child custody allegation and counter allegations, Sandra Palmer Martin, the mother of four years old Johannes Owen Martin, said she has withdrawn an earlier custody to the biological father of their son, Kelvin Uyi Martins, a naturalized Danish citizen based in Denmark.
Recall that Sandra Martin and Kelvin Martins are presently locked in a bitter controversy over marriage, child custody and properties which has become a subject of investigation at the Edo state Police command, Interpol and Naptip.
Sandra had told newsmen that her decision to withdraw an earlier child custody given to his hubby was sequel to new development and discovery which prompted her to sworn to an affidavit for the withdrawal.
Sandra had in 2020 in a letter of consent by her solicitors, Obasuyi & Obasuyi given full custody of his son Johannes Owen Martins to the father, Kelvin Martin which indicated that she Sandra consented to their son to be in the custody of the father in Denmark.
However, in an Affidavit she deposed to on the 18th of May, 2023, at the High Court in Benin and made available to newsmen withdrew her consent while also notifying the Danish Embassy, Interpol, Ministry of Foreign Affair, NAPTIP and other agencies of her decision.
While narrating her ordeal and truamatizing consequence of what she alleged as the fraudulent separation of her only child through alleged grand deceit by her hubby insisted that she would continue to resort to legal means to ensure her only child is brought back to her.
Some of her reason as stated in the sworn affidavit of withdrawal reads, “That I now discovered that my son was adopted to a Korean woman (Mina Yuh who my husband claimed to be married to and who Is said to have died of cancer after the adoption of my son.
“That my husband has continued to take my four (4) years old son to the tomb of Mina Yuh makes him believe that mina Yuh is his biological mother before her death.
“That the Affidavit of Consent dated 22″ January, 2020 I gave to my husband (Kelvin Uyi Martins) was obtained by fraud, deceit and misrepresentation and I accordingly withdraw same.
“That this deposition is to declare my withdrawal and the authorities to whom this may concern at any time should please take note, particularly the Danish Embassy; INTERPOL; Danish Immigration Service; NAPTIP; Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark; BKA Germany and for records and official purposes.
“That I make this Affidavit in good faith believing the same to be true in accordance with Oath Law Cap . 01 LFN, 2004″.
