2. ELECTIONS: Campaigning to all voters to win their votes to get yourself elected.(THIS IS BASICALLY MAKING PROMISES THAT MOST POLITICIANS KNOW AB NITIO THAT THEY CANNOT OR WILL NOT FULFILL TO ALL ELIGIBLE VOTERS AND NON VOTERS IN THE DIASPORA, WHO HAVE MASSIVE INFLUENCE ON VOTERS IN NIGERIA).
3. APPOINTMENTS: The strategic lobbying and positioning of yourself to get an appointment, contracts or other favours from the winner of an election.(LIES REIGN SUPREME AT THIS STAGE).
4: PARTY CONGRESS: This is the BIGGEST DEAL to a real politician, as the outcome will eventually affect the other aforementioned 3 stages, this is the fight for the control of the political party, with the recent suspension by the Wards of former APC and PDP national chairmen leading to their temporary or permanent removals, now I understand why some politicians makes sure their Ward EXCO have their wives, children, brothers, friends, drivers etc as their WARD CHAIRMAN and EXCO members.
