Ovia 2023: Watch Moment Top PDP Leader Dump Party With Followers to APC, Tears Membership Card [PHOTOS+VIDEO]

Ahead of the 2023 House of Representatives election for the Ovia federal constituency, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have continued to witness unprecedented gale of defection.

The latest is the defection of Mr. Friday Iyen, who along with hundreds of his followers, dumped the state ruling party for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ayeku community, Uhen ward, Ovia North East Local Government of Edo state.

Receiving the decampees over the weekend, the Vice Chairman, APC in the council area, Mr. Solomon Odemwingie lauded the decampees for taking the bold step to key into the main stream politics of the federal constituency.

He noted that their coming could not have been at a better time, noting that their votes for Hon. Dennis Idahosa and other candidates of the party is a vote for total emancipation.

Iyen who led the decampees said his decision to team up with the APC is based on the achievements of the member representing Ovia Federal Constituency, Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
