Former Commissioner for Education in Edo State and yet-to-be inaugurated member of the State House of Assembly, representing Uhunmwonde Constituency, Hon. Dr. Washington Osifo is feeling disappointed.

Dr. Washington who was a guest of the John Mayaki Show spoke on the indisputable leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as the numero uno of Edo State politics, the abysmal failure of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu in his ward, local government area and Senatorial District being a referendum of his rejection by the people of Edo South.

He argued that the failure or defeat of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu had nothing to do with the alleged hatred of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as opined by Ize-Iyamu during his 60th birthday interview.

Excerpts

You contested for the Orhiomwon/Uhunmwonde Federal House of Representatives Constituency seat as against the party’s decision that you go back to the House of Assembly – being a gesture of first right of refusal but you lost the primaries. What happened?

The party didn’t say so. The party couldn’t have said so because contest is free and the decision to contest is something that is always muttered by the party faithful.

But there was a free ticket for the state House of Assembly and it is assumed that nobody was going to contest that with you.

Even at that…. If you eventually followed up what happened, those who contested; the so called free ticket in quote, people contested against them and because of the crude manner of delivery, very many of them are in court. Because it’s indecent to assume that you can trample on the rights of people and you must be humble about leaders, about certain positions you take especially on things that bothers on the issue of human beings and all of that.

Nobody wants to be told who the hell do you think you are – not in arrogance. I know that I have committed everything like a faithful wife, like a faithful husband to the affairs of APC and I am sure no one is in doubt.

Were you expecting the party to give you the House of Reps ticket on a plater? Or was it that the delegates didn’t vote for you?

No! you see, when you skewed a process even way before that time in ways and manner that suggest that you are quite unfair particularly maybe for pecuniary values, then what it means is that there will be an outcome but the outcome wouldn’t have done justice. Justice wasn’t done not to talk of manifest justice. Rather, I am not contesting what became of the people but if things must be done, they must be well done according to laid down rules and procedures.

I am a respecter of rules and someone will say that I am too rigid. Yes, I will continue to be rigid provided you play by the rules. If you don’t play by the rules, then there are also ways of settling issues that fall out that suggest that somebody has played outside the rules. Now, I contested elections before and I lost. I have also contested elections before and I won. Nobody is in doubt about the sacrifice that we make. And I have never been so boastful about it; of what I, my colleagues and very many other persons, including you the sacrifices we have all made for APC to survive. We have forgotten or very many persons have forgotten the very terrible fights that threatened even our lives against an armament led by no mean person but the governor of the state – when we stood those battles, at the rate of losing our lives but thank God we survived it. Now if a party will have a future, the reward system is something we must talk, nobody particularly me, we were at the forefront of the battle. As it is now, the result does not suggest that.

Has anyone called you to say Hon. Washington, come let us talk – either the guy who won or the party itself?

How can you possibly do that when you were the one who orchestrated the whole thing. As a party, you have a right to make a choice but even as you are making the choice, you must do it in a way that the others will not feel you were unnecessarily degenerated or descended to the arena because when you descend to the arena and the outcome is something that is questionable and you know that a resolution process will come; a time will come and you ordinarily were supposed to be the one to take care of the resolution process because you are even as guilty as the process; you orchestrated it, then who is going to resolve the crises. This is where we are. Is not as if they don’t know that Washington is aggrieved – they know.

Who is the leader of the party now in Edo State apart from the State Chairman?

The leader of the party in Edo state that I know is Comrade Aliu Oshiomole. He has called me. Now the leader of the party is also someone who suffered almost the same fate when he was the National Chairman. What consumed us also consumed him. So to that extent, there is no way he will not be sympathetic toward somebody like Washington and even the reward system.

Now, the question I am asking is this – looking at what happened to Washington, the fear it will create or has created, an emotion of pity and fear. Pity in the sense that it happened to a man who labored, who gave everything and at the end of the day he is getting nothing and fear in the sense that as a human being you are also in the political arena. It can also happen to you. What will now be the control mechanism for those they are now throwing up as candidates of the party. Ok, it’s my prayers that those who got it zigzagged will go ahead to win and when they win and you are calling them to come and be loyal to the party and they are at a crossroad where it has to be interest; self-interest versus party interest, I can bet you, no one will take the route of Washington because no one wants to be remembered for what he gave to the party that didn’t show reward. I am telling you.

Will you be encouraged to go the extra mile to do what you did for the party again? You are a party man or are you planning to decamp to the PDP?

No, No, No. let me tell you, I will fight for persons because I am the greatest victim as far as this is concerned. I have listened to the Governor what he said, he sympathizes with me. Yes! He sympathizes with me. I am telling you. If he were to be a wicked man, that very many persons will want to believe he has been. But this man has no reason to want to see Washington at all because it was him versus myself. He offered everything Washington rejected it. He wanted to be my friend but I felt what you were asking me to do wasn’t it at all.

What lessons have you learnt about party loyalty and self-interest?

I have discovered, I have always known but more than ever before, I have discovered that self-defense in law is something that is credited to every human being, even in the case of murder. Self-defense is something you can capitalize on. What that means is that, self-first is always the watchword. But when I am confronted with situations like this because I have got to ask myself, Washington are you not a fool? Did you look at those you really were doing it for and to ask yourself, do they have capacity to reward you? Are they selfish? It has turned out to be they are very selfish. They are not selfless because these guys praised me up to high heaven. Although, I wasn’t doing it because they were praising me.

Why feeling betrayed? Did the leadership of the party promised to award you the House of Reps ticket? Did you consult before you contested the House of Representatives seat?

You know me; I am somebody who will not do anything without consultation. They were my friends – note the word “were my friends”. I am using words. They are no longer my friends and I don’t pretend about it. If I can stand up to tell a Governor of a state who offered me everything and I rejected it and say NO; you can only be my friend on the basis of the truth not on the basis of what you are bringing for me. I like money, don’t get me wrong but you must give it to me with respect and with nothing attached and allow me to use my human sense to deliver the deliverable. I am not a commodity that can be bought. Unfortunately, the position we are today is a situation that has to do with all manners of shenanigans, pecuniary values and all of that. Because the ideals of a party that has the capacity to deliver, a democratic party, a progressive party you are skewing it for the highest bidder, it doesn’t make sense.

Hon Washington, will you say now that you should have agreed with the Governor to go for the inauguration?

As for the inauguration, if I have the opportunity to do it again, I will still take the same position. I am telling you because what is wrong is wrong. There is no gainsaying it. Like I said I didn’t do what I did because of what he asked me to do. In my conscience, I knew and I still believe and I will continue to believe that he fouled the position of the constitution – what the Governor did in regard to that inauguration, because we were excluded, we were not called. He inaugurated five persons, later eight and what have you. That is the same position today. The constitution has not been amended to now reflect that he is right. Therefore, my position then and now remain the same. But the fact is that, I thought that we were trying to build a new political culture where the rule of law will dictate what we all do in the APC. And as a people, if you are a law maker and you want to be a leader, you must lead by example. The kind of example I wanted to lead as a lawmaker is say, look don’t be in a hurry. It’s not about you, it’s about the system. You cannot survive if the system does not survive. I was just saying right now that we are in a society where even the people are not ready to be led in the part of truth. The leaders are not even bothered. It’s their way, they have always done this.

After the 2020 elections, I have not seen the leadership of the party called a meeting to strategize for 2024 or even 2023. Neither have we seen any reward for workdone. In fact, 14 of you as elected lawmakers are still on the street. What do you make of this?

It’s a shame on democracy and particularly those who run democracy in Edo state. I am telling you, it’s a story that will not be palatable to the ears and before you know it, they will be quick to tell what the president did and what he didn’t do. You don’t tell me that. The question is what are you doing in the state. Even the constituencies what are they doing?

Cut-in. The state has become a one party state. It’s like the APC doesn’t have anything to do with the people or governance. If you have a vibrant opposition the Governor will sit tight.

I don’t blame the governor. What we wanted to do was to give a vibrant opposition and the governor saw some of us and said gentlemen with Washington and the other guys (including people like you. I knew what you went through) we are in for trouble and we were ready to lead the armament and we led and the party benefited by gaining stability, by gaining recognition, helping the party to pass through that very dangerous days and survived. It was on oxygen. The onslaught against the then national chairman, our leader Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomole was so much. He paid the supreme price for the state. He was hated and that led to his exit from office.

Cut-in. But people say the push for his exit from office was because of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

No! listen. They are in dual dimensions; one the national politics and secondly; the state politics. For Ahmed our National leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Yes! It was a principal reason. There were other sub reasons. The sub reason was that; we must take him out so that he cannot continue to support BAT. By God’s grace he already has the ticket of the APC. But we need to go back to the state, capitalize on the problems in the state, then liaise with the Governor and then take him out. If your house is not against you, it will be difficult for an outsider to take you out. They tried to take him down from the upstairs, they couldn’t. That is why the word they eventually used was the suspension allegedly done by his ward chairman, which of course they went to court and it was confirmed and those from the governor’s side fueled it, even supported by some persons whose name I wouldn’t want to mention here.

Could it also be that because he wanted install a governor; the person of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and the Governor had to fight and also joined the other governors to fight him?

Well, well, well. Ultimately, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was the one who benefitted from these struggle.

Cut-in. But he says he didn’t benefit because he didn’t win election.

He cannot say that. What a lot of people didn’t know, my leader Captain Hosa of the blessed memory; wherever he is, may his soul rest in peace. He remains my hero, dead or alive. That is why when I wrote what I wrote, I called it Captain is alive. He lives on. Captain can never die.

Captain offered me the ticket for 2020 gubernatorial election. Let me tell you something. At that time, he was the biggest person. If he stand by you every other person stand with you. I wasn’t to contest but the late Captain was the biggest supporter and he remain the biggest supporter to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. Nobody can dispute that. I know what he did in 2020 elections and 2016 elections. In fact, in the 2016 elections the reason Godwin was now fighting Captain started from 2016. It crystalized even in 2020 and it became game of enmity that he didn’t want to see him at all until his death, that was the case. Now, for Pastor, I said he benefitted from the crises because we also came around and he met us when we were fighting. I recall when he was coming to the party, he got attacked.

Cut-in. When Pastor was in PDP you were Odubu’s man.

I remain Odubu’s man. When I mean I remain Odubu’s man, his Excellency Pius Odubu; great gentleman, calm. The exigencies of that time together with what the party wanted, there is nothing I could have done. I sympathize with him. He is aware. He knows what we did behind him. He knows. But when the party says this is it, fine.

Captain called me and said Washington I want you to support Pastor, I said ok (Listen this is the hard truth). I will tell Pastor to also call you and I said no problem. Pastor eventually called me and I went to Pastor’s house. The day I went to Pastor’s house, Patrick Aisoweren, member House of Reps, representing my constituency was just leaving and we met at the doorpost and he said I just came to see Pastor; he said he wants to come to our party. He also said he wants to run for governorship. I said fine. He also said please, I guess that is what he wants to discuss with you. Please if he says that to you just oblige.

Pastor offered to come and see me in my house. No, I said don’t worry, I will come. As an Africa child, I respect people. I am not arrogant. I am humble. Of course we met and he said he wants to come to our party and he needed our support, I said fine, no problem. We’ve never really done anything together. I have always been in the group of Philip Shuaibu and Ogie my leaders. They are my friends. They are the one that played a role in my political career in the past. These are leading Generals in Adams Aliu Oshiomole’s camp. So we were all together. I was the leader of Edo Is In Safe Hands; an armament. We had strategies and we calculated the whole thing for everywhere. Nobody is in doubt about what we did then. Now coming with that to where we are today, it will be inexperience for me when personalities are coming especially a big one like him you will say we don’t want him to come.

The fight between the governor who was still in our party and even some of us who were leading the armament against him became even more ferocious because he now saw us as the landing pad there that were given a face to it and we were ready to ensure our brother our friend Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu landed. You recall, let people go to history – before Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu came to our party, the APC, he was still consulting, he has not come. He had about 14 canopies in his house. I was the only APC man there when he was addressing those who were supposed to land with him from his party, the PDP. I flew from Abuja. His flight also came in but I got to his house before him and I was there when he came in. He met me there and I welcome him in his house. When he was addressing them I left. It’s on tape, go and see it. It was not the day he came to APC. I was excited that he was coming.

Cut-in. Did he supported your House of Reps bid?

That is a story for another day. He disappointed me and it’s unfortunate. Let me tell you about the captain’s own. When Captain told me, go and work with him, I was working with him. He knows that I was working with him. He knows that.

Cut-in. How?

When he was coming, we worked and when he came, we worked. His coming, the fight and all of that, the burnt fire and all of that. We were solidly against it. My pen was now sharper. He was happy and everybody was happy. I was doing it because I believed that the system must allow people to come in and make it robust, so we can share ideas and galvanize the whole thing. At the risk of my life, it was ok by Pastor and very many others who came with him from PDP to APC. Now at the end of the day, when opposition eventually came, which was part two now. Don’t forget to go to Garrick they set fire on Garrick and said he cannot land there. On the street Comrade and those who were coming to receive him could not entered the state, the PDP guys took over the airport and the APC groups then who didn’t want him to come, allegedly sponsor by the Governor, make those things happened and at the end of the day the Governor felt that he was coming to block him. Even some our persons in APC were not even happy for him to come. Some have even shown interest in the gubernatorial race.

Therefore there was opposition within opposition, one from Government House and another within our circle who were party men. But eventually, he landed. We were part of it. If they have forgotten they needed to be reminded. When he landed, we took off, the next stage was that after some time he announce his intention secretly to run . When I said secretly, before he came on air he had told a few persons that he was running for it. Captain was one of the first persons he told. Let me tell you, when it got to a point and the opposition against the ticket was getting too much, I was one of those who played a major role in that ticket. I can tell you, God used me. He has confessed it to many persons that if there are persons in Edo who helped him to get the ticket, Washington is one of the three. I know you must have also heard because you and I were always seeing in his house.

You recall the day I announced my decision to go to the House of Reps, it was in early 2020 in his (Pastor) house. We were in court. I was always in the front row; from federal high court to the supreme court. There was no day I miss out of the court. I was there in Abuja and I made the court my home. If I mean something, I give everything. But what led to Captain saying Washington you are not too young, in his words, Yahaya Bello is in Kogi state. If Yahaya Bello can be a Governor why can’t you be a Governor. He mentioned that I should run. My brother, my friend, Hon. Chris Okaeben was there. I didn’t run on conscience. I needed to wait for my time. Jesus said my time has not yet come. I have conscience.

Captain told me something when he was trying to convince me to work with Pastor. He said when I agreed that I ( captain) was going to run for governorship, when people persuaded me to run, I agreed. He said then Pastor was still in PDP and he told Pastor that he wanted to run and he also asked Pastor if he was running in PDP and Pastor told him that he was likely to run in PDP. It wouldn’t have been possible with all good conscience for Pastor to run against Captain knowing that in 2016 Capatin was the pillar. In 2020 if he was going to run, Captain was still going to be the pillar. You don’t run against your pillar. It doesn’t make sense. He made a good choice and according to Captain, he said if you are running in APC I will not run against you. For me that was humility. For me that was a man who got it right. He displayed what I would have done and if a man is doing what I can do, I don’t fight, I just support you. For me, that was good conscience.

So when it became opened that he was running and other guber aspirants then; solid men who have made sacrifice for the party too at that time who have supporters in the length and breadth of Edo state and at the end of the day, they knew and they started fighting back. Then it became obvious it may threatened the existence and unity of the party in Edo state and that will lead to something we may not be able to handle. Everyone was scared of the party disintegrating and we are losing the election. It was for us to decide. The accusations against Captain became so much. Even the Governor who felt he was unjustly treated was fighting. He was not sparing anything. You know the story. At the end of the day, he also accused Captain of supporting someone or sponsoring armament against him and at the end of the day, Captain said No. I can’t take it.

Captain also told me he wanted to settle issues between him and and some other persons that is when he was trying to push for the ticket for him. He said he spoke to some persons high up there, they were not willing and at that point, he now said, I think I needed to probably look elsewhere if I must put my money.

On that day, I woke up at 11pm in the evening. Chris Okaeben called me and as usual said we should go and say hello to Captain and we went. We sat down and we were discussing Edo politics and he was unusually cold on that day. You could see he had so much in him. Suddenly he just busted, Washington get ready, I will sponsor you. For me, for what? Because that was not what we were discussing. For what? He said to me, you are not too young to be the Governor of Edo state. Kogi has your mate, Yahaya Bello. I have watched you. We were together in Switzerland, in Geneva when they gave you an award. I know how the award came. He said you are the next generation, I should support you and I will support you. I was never close to Captain. I was introduced by Chris.

There were certain amount of money in dollars in an envelope he gave to me to do something for myself. Senator Uzamere was there. I got there the situation changed. I waited for about three months before Captain returned. I went and I returned the envelop. It was a huge money in dollars. Coincidentally, Senator Uzamere was there when I returned the money also. Captain said when I gave him the money, that he has been in politics, when he gives out money, they take it and don’t return; thinking that he is a fool. He called Senator and in his presence he gave me back the money. The day he told me I will put my money in you, he made reference to it. He insisted I should run. I told him in the presence of Chris No. In fact, I knelt down to thank him and he said tomorrow I will go and tell Comrade.

What were your reasons for rejecting the offer for governorship ticket?

I remembered that he told me that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who was to contest in PDP came to APC because he said he was going to run and now he wanted me to run. But he knows that there were frustrations along the line for his push for Pastor. He just wanted something like a change.

Do you ever regret rejecting the offer to run?

It was what I said then, that’s what I Am saying now – I believe in the will of God.

Pastor said he was not the target but the victim of the 2020 gubernatorial election. What’s your take on that?

He cannot say he was a victim; victim of who? I said no, if they wanted to show that the battle was against Comrade and that was what led to Pastor being the victim, it would have reflected in Edo North. They would have defeated Comrade in Edo North but the results showed otherwise. That Comrade was even stronger, his people rally round him and provided results for Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu. That reduced the deficit that we would have had against Godwin Obaseki in that election. Edo South gave Godwin about 83% in that election whereas that was almost the same thing Edo North gave to Pastor. What we are talking about is this. Comrade brought that result from Edo North, we could not bring our own. The in-fighting was in Edo South. It was the ring. Those who offended who and those they offended were all from Edo South. It was not well managed.

Are you in court against the winner of the House of Reps primary election?

Yes I am in court against him.

Is it true you sponsored people to go to court to say he is not a member of the party?

Is he a member of the party? That is the way I will answer the question.

Did you sponsor anybody?

One industry that is growing so well in Nigeria is the industry of scapegoatism. when you know you have a fault, instead treating your fault and getting out of the mess you will be blaming it on others.

What are you asking the court now?

I am asking the court to determine whether somebody who is not duly registered as a party member can validly take the party’s ticket because it is the first requirement.

How did you get to know he was not validly registered?

Have you forgotten I represent that local government in the House of Assembly? And the responsibility during that registration I was key? Have you forgotten that if I don’t know what happened during the registration I am not qualified to be a member of the party? Let me tell you something; these questions will be answered through a forensic analysis. I am telling you the truth.

But the party has come out to say he’s a member of the APC.

The party cannot even say so because it’s a supreme court decision that a political party must respect her constitution and guidelines. It’s not for fun, its a subsidiary legislation. Therefore, the supreme court and even the courts have punished parties for not obeying the rules and regulation of the parties. Even our President, President Muhammadu Buhari went to Daura to register.

Was he not in Nigeria to register?

He was not in Nigeria. He doesn’t even stay here. We will prove it because we have it everywhere. We will go to any length including United State of America. We will prove it.

How do you prove he didn’t register even when the party says he’s a member?

Who is the party that says he is our member? Membership is not given through party’s letter head. No! No!! No!!!

Assuming he brings out a party card to prove his membership.

And when the party’s card says otherwise, it doesn’t conform to the rules and regulations of the party and you have sworn to oath that what is in that document is true when you know it’s not true.

Assuming his name is on the party’s register?

We shall see. But for me, in the line of my duty, I will prove it. I am telling you the truth.

You came second in that primary election?

Yes. I got 19. The leaders of the party in Orhiomwon, some are hatred I inherited because of my position supporting Pastor.

The Senate President’s name was found on the INEC list. What do you make of that?

It is recklessness on the part of the party. It amounts to arrogating too much powers you don’t have to yourself. It’s impunity of the highest order. This is what is obvious within the party domain not just APC alone but PDP. It is like that, particularly in the two major political parties. They don’t have respect for the rule of law. It’s so embarrassing. I was even hearing something similar in my constituency.

We understand that someone who came third in your constituency offered something to someone somewhere to substitute the name of the winner with her own.

I don’t really know if something was offered? You can reliably infer that something was offered. Otherwise what will be the motivation for promoting somebody who came last over and above somebody who came first? Whether you like it or not it doesn’t matter there are technical issues regarding the validity of membership. However, the result today is that he took first. If any name must go, it must be his name for now. Until the court says otherwise because I am asking the court to say so.

I was shocked to hear and indeed that Hon. Elizabeth Ativie wanted to truncate the whole process and indeed some persons were working with her. Certainly Edo APC won’t do that, whether somebody connived, I don’t know but we will get to the root of the matter.

Don’t you think some persons should apologize to Oshiomole? He was removed to prevent BAT from coming in and now BAT is the flagbearer of the party?

If they want to apologize, they can but I will not persuade them to apologize. What you have just said support my claim that an idea whose time has come nobody can stop it. If in as much Captain has said that time, I will put my resources in you and I refused, if it was the will of God it will come to pass. Just as Jesus told his mother my time has not come, she insisted and it came to be but you must not be quick to jump at things. Have the resilience to say no to certain things; especially when you are not convinced about it. If it is the will of God, it will come to pass.

Now they took Comrade away because they didn’t want him to play any role in the emergence of a man that has labored for this party, gave everything to build this party, when it was time just as they did to me, you said no you can’t. but his case produced a different result because I think there is something God want to use him to do in this country. Comrade was the sacrificial lamb but I saw on that day the way he was dancing. That dance alone on the day of the Convention, I could read his mind, Oh Jesus you eventually did it. Is this you? That is the power of God. Let man play god, it doesn’t make man God. God will always be God. That is exactly what happened.

So, nobody should really apologies, rather they should be ashamed of themselves. Because it was a collateral damage on Edo, which many feel today, they prefer to work for opposition than to allow APC to be in the hope that after winning the opposition the governor will come back. To an extent they didn’t know the Governor has a conscience. They underrated the governor because he won on the flagship of another political party. It was too early in the day to jump ship by coming back to APC. How would you describe him? He held to his ground that he will prefer to fight on in PDP than to come to APC just to show to his friends. All of a sudden some of his governor friends are already leaving now. Some hated him for that. You cannot hate him. If you ask for integrity no matter how you see it, that he was fighting the party that gave him the ticket, Comrade has supported him, he has made a point. If you juxtapose what has happened some person will also say they predicted that he will come back. He didn’t fall for it. To a large extent that is a level of integrity.

If you ask me the way I am also viewing Governor Obaseki now, he is not as bad as people will want to say. He has proven in recent history, this few elections that he was more committed to those who supported him. Look at Marcus who is my colleague who went with him, look at Asoro my other colleague who went with him, they both contested for House of Reps, particularly for Asoro when we were saying that it was the turn of Uhunmwode, he contested in Orhionmwon and he won. The Governor gave him the support. He gave Marcus the support as well as the others. Why was he rewarding them? He was rewarding them for standing by him and following him but what did my party do, my party jilted me in spite of what I did for my party and they will say they gifted positions. You don’t gift a position but you give support. When you give support it must be manifestly seen with respect for others. They created an impression let everybody go in but they had ulterior motives and at the end of the day, they spread information that Washington does not have money.

For the Senate in Edo South, I learnt the party wanted former deputy governor but DVD got the ticket. Meaning he worked for it.

My brother, they know we worked for it. They are aware. But when they are talking about money, we were not as rich as them. I don’t know whether they have money, that was what the key players started telling people. When key players start telling you, where is your statement of account? Look at what is happening in Orhionmwan today, people are decamping. The two constituencies are messed up, cases here and there. Ordinarily, it hasn’t been this bad. Some people are going to court, there is no control anymore because those who are supposed to control the situation, they are even the elements that contributed to this crisis. For instance, Billy is my friend, I don’t have anything against him, but I have something against those who I labored for, who I toiled for day and night, who benefited from my sweat.

If Pastor calls you for rapprochement and say, this is the plan we have for you, will you oblige?

What plan? If a man says this is what he wants and he was using his money, you didn’t give me money, I was the one using my money and you promised that you were going to support me. I didn’t say give me money ooh, I will use my money, I spent my money. Sometimes he will encourage me to say go and do this, go and do that, I was doing it and at the end of the day, he knows he was the first who benefitted from me, when it got to the time, I was spending my money for him to support me, he didn’t support me, what is he going to offer me? Is he the Governor? Even the Governor who promised me X, Y, Z true to my nature, in order not to betray the party I said no, I don’t want. Are you the president? What are you going to give to me? I can’t believe such men that is the truth. They say once beaten twice shy. I am a Christian. It is in the bible, woe onto that man that put his faith on another man. I was wrong. I thought I know better but I was wrong.
