the wake of the unending crisis shrouding the current leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), supporters of the party have now lamented the sacking of Adams Oshiomole as the party’ s national chairman.
On Twitter, @Olayemi wrote: ” Removing Adam Oshiomole was a grave mistake, that man is what the APC leadership need at this crucial period. ”
@Comr_Shedrach wrote: ” It will not be well with those who played a role in the removal of @adams_oshiomole. . please someone should ask gov Buni to leave our party. he has cause more harm than good. ”
The regrets are coming shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected a letter inviting it to an emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee of the governing party where Niger State governor, Abubakar Bello’ s chairmanship, among other things, is to be ratified.
In a letter dated March 9, 2022, signed by the Secretary to INEC, Rose Anthony, titled, ‘ Re: Invitation to the emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee, ‘ INEC informed the CECPC that the letter of invitation was not signed by the National Chairman and National Secretary of the CECPC, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and Dr John Akpanudoedehe, respectively.
The Commission noted that it was contrary to the provision of Article 1. 1. 3 of the Commission’ s Regulations and Guidelines for Political Party Operations (2018).
Another Twitter user @FairAkanbi, supposedly a supporter of the party, wrote: APC keeps getting itself into issues on false accounts of taming BAT’ s influence- Saraki’ s emergence as SP and Oshiomole’ s unjust sack.
