A mild drama played out on Tuesday in the Osun Governorship election as PDP factions held a parallel Congress ahead of the poll.
While the faction that declared Senator Ademola Adeleke winner held it primaries at the 10,000 capacity Oshogbo stadium, Dotun Babayemi was declared winner of the Primaries at the WOCDIF Center in Osogbo.
Babayemi had 1981 votes to defeat other aspirants who had earlier stepped down for him.
A total number of 1903 delegates participated in process.
It would be recalled that Senator Adeleke was also the PDP’s flagbearer in 2018 election where he lost to incumbent, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress.
