Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has announced that he tested positive for COVID-19.
His announcement follows days of protest by truckers and others over covid-19 mandates, which they considered stifling.
Canadian media reported on Sunday that Trudeau and his family had been moved to a secret location following the outrage directed at him.
Trudeau tweeted, “This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m feeling fine – and I’ll continue to work remotely this week while following public health guidelines. Everyone, please get vaccinated and get boosted.”
The Canadian PM had on Thursday said he had gone into isolation for five days after being exposed to someone with COVID-19, adding a rapid test result had come back negative.
