The President of the African Bar Association-Hannibal Uwaifo Esq, has appointed a new leadership for the African Bar Association Law Students’ Internship Club , following the expiration of the tenure of office of the out gone Exco .
In Letters issued to this effect by the Secretariat Administrator of AfBA-Faith Onyekperem Esq., issued on the 24th of January 2022, Miss Fatima Mohammed Ibrahim from the Faculty of Law , University of Jos, Nigeria emerged as the President of AfBA Law Students’ Internship Club.
Miss Ibrahim has a long string of experience in managing Law Students’ Affairs ,which Include being the Head of the Female Law Students in Nigeria , at a period preceding her appointment.
Miss Meron Gebeheyo of the Addis Ababa University Law School , was appointed Vice President, while Eastins Obinna Uchendu of the Nigeria Law School (In Waiting) was appointed Secretary. Miss Osato Obano emerged as Programmes Coordinator and Organizing Secretary, while a well known student blogger and the brain behind the evocative hub -Miss Esther Osawaru emerged as the Publicity Secretary /Head of Protocol and International Affairs.
A Statement by the Co-ordinator of the Programme -Douglas Ogbankwa Esq indicates that their appointment takes immediate effect.
He thanked the Onosetale Itua and the Umoh Edet led outgoing AfBA -LSIC Exco for their pioneering leadership and he wished them well in their future endeavors.
