A High Court sitting in Umuahia, Abia State and presided over by Justice O. A. Chijioke has dismissed a Certificate Forgery suit against the Federal House of Representative Spokesman, Hon. Ben Kalu.
The High Court which was expected to have delivered Judgment last Monday but was stalled by the suspended Sit@ Home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) across the South East.
Delivering judgment on the Suit, Wednesday, Justice Chijioke said the Claimant failed to prove his claims, as he alleged in the Suit, brought before the High Court.
Justice Chijioke contended that the Court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the Suit as the matter was a pre-election matter and cannot be brought before the High Court after the results of the election has been declared.
“That the 1st Defendant had shown that all the documents he presented belonged to him which were duly certified by originating authorities while the claimant only presented photocopied copies that were not duly certified”.
