The Nigerian Bar Association Benin Branch, also known as the Lion Bar has set up a 13 Man Covid-19 Human Rights Watch Committee led by the Legal Adviser of the Branch -Dr. S.O. Daudu, as the Chairman of the Committee.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Benin branch, Pius Oiwoh and Secretary, Andrew Lawani, the Committee has as part of its terms of reference the Protection of the Human Rights of the Citizens and the nipping in the bud of any kind of Injustice and oppression.
Immediate past Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Bar Association, Benin Branch, Douglas Ogbankwa is to serve as Secretary of the committee.
Other Members of the Committee are Mathew Edeghese -Alternative Chairman ,Pius Oiwoh Member ,Prince Collins Ogiegbaen-Member,Ogaga Emoghwanre -Member ,Chris Otasowie -Member,Paula Agbale (Mrs),-Member,Terry Aghahowa Uwadiae-, Member,Stella Agoha -Member,Clem Izomon -, Member,Mathias Obayuwana -Member and A.O. Lawani.
The Committee shall also push for the observance of Covid-19 Protocols,while also appraising the system put in place by Government to curb the pandemic.
