The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, will head Nigeria’s delegation to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Annual Meetings scheduled to open on Monday, October 13.
Mr. Cardoso, serving as Nigeria’s Alternate Governor at the meetings, will be representing the country in place of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, who is currently indisposed.
Also on the Nigerian delegation is the Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite.
According to the World Bank, the 2025 Annual Meetings will feature key sessions including the Development Committee Plenary on October 16 and the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) meetings on October 17.
The week-long events will also include regional briefings, press conferences, and various forums focusing on international development, the global economy, and financial markets.
