Edo LG Election 2022: Why Oredo Deserves The Best

It is no longer news that Governor Godwin Obaseki has constituted Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) and date for the local government elections fixed for April 19.

Governor Obaseki must get it right this time for Oredo and not just reward a decampee but search for the best for the council.

Oredo is too metropolitan and sophisticated for just anyone to be chairman; the best man should be given the job.

I am aware that aspirants are already jostling for the position of chairman, including the mmediate past. The Governor should look beyond sentiment and filled in the best man for the job.

When I say best man, I have an example.

Dr. Tom Osaze Obaseki should be asked to go to the council to restore the lost glory of the council.

With his antecedent as the Procurement Officer and subsequently Project Cordinator of NEWMAP that has brought succour to a lot of communities in Edo, he is a man tested and trusted for a better Oredo Community.

A man who has seen it all and will be there strictly for the service.

In the second edition of this article, I will outline who Dr. Tom Obaseki in addition to listing the numerous achievements he has recorded in various positions he has held.

Oredo deserves better, so life can be better for all. Enough of political compensation.
