A Member Federal House of Representatives, representing Ovia Federal Constituency, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has condemned Monday prison break in Benin and the destruction of police facilities across the capital city of Edo State.
Idahosa, who spoke through his media aide, Mr Osaro Aghedo, said that the protest have been hijacked by hoodlums and called on the State Commissioner of Police to urgently see to it thay law and order is restored in the State.
He futher called on President Muhammdu Buhari to address the situation in order to prevent the country from sliding into anarchy
The lawmaker appealed to the security agencies to provide adequate security to Government facilities Nation wide.
While stressing on the need for the security agencies to work in synergy for the escapees inamtes to be rearrested, Idahosa charge the Edo state controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service to see to it that those behind the act are brought to justice.
Idahosa further admonished the youths to remain peaceful, pending the resolution of their demands by government.
